Judges 18:2 - So the Danites sent out five brave men from all their clans, from Zorah and Eshtaol, to scout out the land and explore it. They told them, “Go and explore the land.” They came to the hill country of Ephraim as far as the home of Micah and spent the night there.
Judges 1:23 - They sent spies to Bethel (the town was formerly named Luz ).
Judges 1:24 - The spies saw a man coming out of the town and said to him, “Please show us how to get into town, and we will show you kindness.”
Genesis 42:9 - Joseph remembered his dreams about them and said to them, “You are spies. You have come to see the weakness of the land.”

Genesis 42:16 - Send one from among you to get your brother. The rest of you will be imprisoned so that your words can be tested to see if they are true. If they are not, then as surely as Pharaoh lives, you are spies!”
Genesis 42:17 - So Joseph imprisoned them together for three days.
Genesis 42:18 - On the third day Joseph said to them, “I fear God — do this and you will live.

Judges 18:8 - When the men went back to their relatives at Zorah and Eshtaol, their relatives asked them, “What did you find out?”
Judges 18:9 - They answered, “Come on, let’s attack them, for we have seen the land, and it is very good. Why wait? Don’t hesitate to go and invade and take possession of the land!
Judges 18:10 - When you get there, you will come to an unsuspecting people and a spacious land, for God has handed it over to you. It is a place where nothing on earth is lacking.”
Joshua 2:1 - Joshua son of Nun secretly sent two men as spies from the Acacia Grove, saying, “Go and scout the land, especially Jericho.” So they left, and they came to the house of a prostitute named Rahab, and stayed there.
Joshua 2:2 - The king of Jericho was told, “Look, some of the Israelite men have come here tonight to investigate the land.”
Joshua 2:3 - Then the king of Jericho sent word to Rahab and said, “Bring out the men who came to you and entered your house, for they came to investigate the entire land.”
1 Samuel 29:9 - Achish answered David, “I’m convinced that you are as reliable as an angel of God. But the Philistine commanders have said, ‘He must not go into battle with us.’
1 Samuel 29:4 - The Philistine commanders, however, were enraged with Achish and told him, “Send that man back and let him return to the place you assigned him. He must not go down with us into battle only to become our adversary during the battle. What better way could he ingratiate himself with his master than with the heads of our men?
