When they began to sing and to praise, Yahweh set ambushers against the children of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were struck.For the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of Mount Seir to utterly kill and destroy them. When they had finished the inhabitants of Seir, everyone helped to destroy each other.When Judah came to the place overlooking the wilderness, they looked at the multitude; and behold, they were dead bodies fallen to the earth, and there were none who escaped.

There was a trembling in the camp, in the field, and among all the people; the garrison, and the raiders, also trembled; and the earth quaked, so there was an exceedingly great trembling.The watchmen of Saul in Gibeah of Benjamin looked; and behold, the multitude melted away and scattered.Then Saul said to the people who were with him,“ Count now, and see who is missing from us.” When they had counted, behold, Jonathan and his armor bearer were not there.Saul said to Ahijah,“ Bring God’s ark here.” For God’s ark was with the children of Israel at that time.While Saul talked to the priest, the tumult that was in the camp of the Philistines went on and increased; and Saul said to the priest,“ Withdraw your hand!”Saul and all the people who were with him were gathered together, and came to the battle; and behold, they were all striking each other with their swords in very great confusion.Now the Hebrews who were with the Philistines before, and who went up with them into the camp, from all around, even they also turned to be with the Israelites who were with Saul and Jonathan.Likewise all the men of Israel who had hidden themselves in the hill country of Ephraim, when they heard that the Philistines fled, even they also followed hard after them in the battle.So Yahweh saved Israel that day; and the battle passed over by Beth Aven.

The ten horns that you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority as kings with the beast for one hour.These have one mind, and they give their power and authority to the beast.These will war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings, and those who are with him are called chosen and faithful.”He said to me,“ The waters which you saw, where the prostitute sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations, and languages.The ten horns which you saw, and the beast, these will hate the prostitute, will make her desolate, will strip her naked, will eat her flesh, and will burn her utterly with fire.For God has put in their hearts to do what he has in mind, to be of one mind, and to give their kingdom to the beast, until the words of God should be accomplished.
