Psalms 14:1-7
The fool has said in his heart,“ There is no God.” They are corrupt. They have done abominable deeds. There is no one who does good.Yahweh looked down from heaven on the children of men, to see if there were any who understood, who sought after God.They have all gone aside. They have together become corrupt. There is no one who does good, no, not one.Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, who eat up my people as they eat bread, and don’t call on Yahweh?There they were in great fear, for God is in the generation of the righteous.You frustrate the plan of the poor, because Yahweh is his refuge.Oh that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion! When Yahweh restores the fortunes of his people, then Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.

Romans 3:10-31
As it is written,“ There is no one righteous; no, not one.There is no one who understands. There is no one who seeks after God.They have all turned away. They have together become unprofitable. For there is no distinction,for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God;being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus;whom God sent to be an atoning sacrifice, through faith in his blood, for a demonstration of his righteousness through the passing over of prior sins, in God’s forbearance;to demonstrate his righteousness at this present time; that he might himself be just, and the justifier of him who has faith in Jesus.Where then is the boasting? It is excluded. By what kind of law? Of works? No, but by a law of faith.We maintain therefore that a man is justified by faith apart from the works of the law.Or is God the God of Jews only? Isn’t he the God of Gentiles also? Yes, of Gentiles also,since indeed there is one God who will justify the circumcised by faith, and the uncircumcised through faith.Do we then nullify the law through faith? May it never be! No, we establish the law.

“‘ Don’t defile yourselves in any of these things; for in all these the nations which I am casting out before you were defiled.The land was defiled. Therefore I punished its iniquity, and the land vomited out her inhabitants.You therefore shall keep my statutes and my ordinances, and shall not do any of these abominations; neither the native- born, nor the stranger who lives as a foreigner among you( for the men of the land that were before you had done all these abominations, and the land became defiled),that the land not vomit you out also, when you defile it, as it vomited out the nation that was before you.“‘ For whoever shall do any of these abominations, even the souls that do them shall be cut off from among their people.Therefore you shall keep my requirements, that you do not practice any of these abominable customs which were practiced before you, and that you do not defile yourselves with them. I am Yahweh your God.’”
