Then Moses said to the people,“ Remember this day when you came out of Egypt, out of the place of slavery, for the LORD brought you out of here by the strength of his hand. Nothing leavened may be eaten.
When Pharaoh let the people go, God did not lead them along the road to the land of the Philistines, even though it was nearby; for God said,“ The people will change their minds and return to Egypt if they face war.”
Then Samuel said to the people,“ The LORD, who appointed Moses and Aaron and who brought your ancestors up from the land of Egypt, is a witness.Now present yourselves, so I may confront you before the LORD about all the righteous acts he has done for you and your ancestors.“ When Jacob went to Egypt, your ancestors cried out to the LORD, and he sent them Moses and Aaron, who led your ancestors out of Egypt and settled them in this place.
