• James 4:4: You adulterers! Don’t you realize that friendship with the world makes you an enemy of God? I say it again: If you want to be a friend of the world, you make yourself an enemy of God.
• Deuteronomy 6:12: be careful not to forget the Lord, who rescued you from slavery in the land of Egypt.
• Deuteronomy 29:19: “ Those who hear the warnings of this curse should not congratulate themselves, thinking,‘ I am safe, even though I am following the desires of my own stubborn heart.’ This would lead to utter ruin!
