Clean out the old leaven so that you may be a new lump, just as you are in fact unleavened. For Christ our Passover also has been sacrificed. Therefore let’s celebrate the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

Acts 28:17-31
After three days Paul called together those who were the leading men of the Jews, and when they came together, he began saying to them,“ Brothers, though I had done nothing against our people or the customs of our fathers, yet I was handed over to the Romans as a prisoner from Jerusalem. And when they had examined me, they were willing to release me because there were no grounds for putting me to death. But when the Jews objected, I was forced to appeal to Caesar, not that I had any accusation against my nation. For this reason, therefore, I requested to see you and to speak with you, since I am wearing this chain for the sake of the hope of Israel.”They said to him,“ We have neither received letters from Judea concerning you, nor has any of the brothers come here and reported or spoken anything bad about you.But we desire to hear from you what your views are; for regarding this sect, it is known to us that it is spoken against everywhere.”When they had set a day for Paul, people came to him at his lodging in large numbers; and he was explaining to them by solemnly testifying about the kingdom of God and trying to persuade them concerning Jesus, from both the Law of Moses and from the Prophets, from morning until evening. Some were being persuaded by the things said by Paul, but others would not believe. And when they disagreed with one another, they began leaving after Paul said one parting statement:“ The Holy Spirit rightly spoke through Isaiah the prophet to your fathers, saying,‘ Go to this people and say,“ You will keep on hearing, and will not understand; And you will keep on seeing, and will not perceive; For the hearts of this people have become insensitive, And with their ears they hardly hear, And they have closed their eyes; Otherwise they might see with their eyes, And hear with their ears, And understand with their heart and return, And I would heal them.” ’Therefore, let it be known to you that this salvation of God has been sent to the Gentiles; they will also listen.”

Luke 10:1-16
Now after this the Lord appointed seventy two others, and sent them in pairs ahead of Him to every city and place where He Himself was going to come. And He was saying to them,“ The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore plead with the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.Go; behold, I am sending you out like lambs in the midst of wolves.Carry no money belt, no bag, no sandals, and greet no one along the way.And whatever house you enter, first say,‘ Peace be to this house.’And if a man of peace is there, your peace will rest upon him; but if not, it will return to you.Stay in that house, eating and drinking what they provide; for the laborer is deserving of his wages. Do not move from house to house.Whatever city you enter and they receive you, eat what is served to you;and heal those in it who are sick, and say to them,‘ The kingdom of God has come near to you.’But whatever city you enter and they do not receive you, go out into its streets and say,‘ Even the dust of your city which clings to our feet we wipe off in protest against you; yet be sure of this, that the kingdom of God has come near.’I say to you, it will be more tolerable on that day for Sodom than for that city.“ Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles that occurred in you had occurred in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes. But it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the judgment than for you.And you, Capernaum, will not be exalted to heaven, will you? You will be brought down to Hades!“ The one who listens to you listens to Me, and the one who rejects you rejects Me; but the one who rejects Me rejects the One who sent Me.”

John 6:50-57
This is the bread that comes down out of heaven, so that anyone may eat from it and not die.I am the living bread that came down out of heaven; if anyone eats from this bread, he will live forever; and the bread which I will give for the life of the world also is My flesh.”Then the Jews began to argue with one another, saying,“ How can this man give us His flesh to eat?”So Jesus said to them,“ Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in yourselves. The one who eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.For My flesh is true food, and My blood is true drink. The one who eats My flesh and drinks My blood remains in Me, and I in him.Just as the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, the one who eats Me, he also will live because of Me.
