2 Samuel 12 1-2 Samuel 12 7
And the LORD sent Nathan unto David. And he came unto him, and said unto him, There were two men in one city; the one rich, and the other poor.The rich[ man] had exceeding many flocks and herds:But the poor[ man] had nothing, save one little ewe lamb, which he had bought and nourished up: and it grew up together with him, and with his children; it did eat of his own meat, and drank of his own cup, and lay in his bosom, and was unto him as a daughter.And there came a traveller unto the rich man, and he spared to take of his own flock and of his own herd, to dress for the wayfaring man that was come unto him; but took the poor man’s lamb, and dressed it for the man that was come to him.And David’s anger was greatly kindled against the man; and he said to Nathan,[ As] the LORD liveth, the man that hath done this[ thing] shall surely die:And he shall restore the lamb fourfold, because he did this thing, and because he had no pity.And Nathan said to David, Thou[ art] the man. Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I anointed thee king over Israel, and I delivered thee out of the hand of Saul;

The trees went forth[ on a time] to anoint a king over them; and they said unto the olive tree, Reign thou over us.But the olive tree said unto them, Should I leave my fatness, wherewith by me they honour God and man, and go to be promoted over the trees?And the trees said to the fig tree, Come thou,[ and] reign over us.But the fig tree said unto them, Should I forsake my sweetness, and my good fruit, and go to be promoted over the trees?Then said the trees unto the vine, Come thou,[ and] reign over us.And the vine said unto them, Should I leave my wine, which cheereth God and man, and go to be promoted over the trees?Then said all the trees unto the bramble, Come thou,[ and] reign over us.And the bramble said unto the trees, If in truth ye anoint me king over you,[ then] come[ and] put your trust in my shadow: and if not, let fire come out of the bramble, and devour the cedars of Lebanon.Now therefore, if ye have done truly and sincerely, in that ye have made Abimelech king, and if ye have dealt well with Jerubbaal and his house, and have done unto him according to the deserving of his hands;( For my father fought for you, and adventured his life far, and delivered you out of the hand of Midian:And ye are risen up against my father’s house this day, and have slain his sons, threescore and ten persons, upon one stone, and have made Abimelech, the son of his maidservant, king over the men of Shechem, because he[ is] your brother;)If ye then have dealt truly and sincerely with Jerubbaal and with his house this day,[ then] rejoice ye in Abimelech, and let him also rejoice in you:But if not, let fire come out from Abimelech, and devour the men of Shechem, and the house of Millo; and let fire come out from the men of Shechem, and from the house of Millo, and devour Abimelech.

Isaiah 5:1-7
Now will I sing to my wellbeloved a song of my beloved touching his vineyard. My wellbeloved hath a vineyard in a very fruitful hill:And he fenced it, and gathered out the stones thereof, and planted it with the choicest vine, and built a tower in the midst of it, and also made a winepress therein: and he looked that it should bring forth grapes, and it brought forth wild grapes.And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem, and men of Judah, judge, I pray you, betwixt me and my vineyard.What could have been done more to my vineyard, that I have not done in it? wherefore, when I looked that it should bring forth grapes, brought it forth wild grapes?And now go to; I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard: I will take away the hedge thereof, and it shall be eaten up;[ and] break down the wall thereof, and it shall be trodden down:And I will lay it waste: it shall not be pruned, nor digged; but there shall come up briers and thorns: I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain upon it.For the vineyard of the LORD of hosts[ is] the house of Israel, and the men of Judah his pleasant plant: and he looked for judgment, but behold oppression; for righteousness, but behold a cry.

Ezekiel 24:3-14
And utter a parable unto the rebellious house, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Set on a pot, set[ it] on, and also pour water into it:Gather the pieces thereof into it,[ even] every good piece, the thigh, and the shoulder; fill[ it] with the choice bones.Take the choice of the flock, and burn also the bones under it,[ and] make it boil well, and let them seethe the bones of it therein.Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the bloody city, to the pot whose scum[ is] therein, and whose scum is not gone out of it! bring it out piece by piece; let no lot fall upon it.For her blood is in the midst of her; she set it upon the top of a rock; she poured it not upon the ground, to cover it with dust;That it might cause fury to come up to take vengeance; I have set her blood upon the top of a rock, that it should not be covered.Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the bloody city! I will even make the pile for fire great.Heap on wood, kindle the fire, consume the flesh, and spice it well, and let the bones be burned.Then set it empty upon the coals thereof, that the brass of it may be hot, and may burn, and[ that] the filthiness of it may be molten in it,[ that] the scum of it may be consumed.She hath wearied[ herself] with lies, and her great scum went not forth out of her: her scum[ shall be] in the fire.In thy filthiness[ is] lewdness: because I have purged thee, and thou wast not purged, thou shalt not be purged from thy filthiness any more, till I have caused my fury to rest upon thee.I the LORD have spoken[ it]: it shall come to pass, and I will do[ it]; I will not go back, neither will I spare, neither will I repent; according to thy ways, and according to thy doings, shall they judge thee, saith the Lord GOD.
