Jesus soon saw a huge crowd of people coming to look for him. Turning to Philip, he asked,“ Where can we buy bread to feed all these people?”He was testing Philip, for he already knew what he was going to do.Philip replied,“ Even if we worked for months, we wouldn’t have enough money to feed them!”

Matthew 15:22-28
A Gentile woman who lived there came to him, pleading,“ Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David! For my daughter is possessed by a demon that torments her severely.”But Jesus gave her no reply, not even a word. Then his disciples urged him to send her away.“ Tell her to go away,” they said.“ She is bothering us with all her begging.”Then Jesus said to the woman,“ I was sent only to help God’s lost sheep— the people of Israel.”But she came and worshiped him, pleading again,“ Lord, help me!”Jesus responded,“ It isn’t right to take food from the children and throw it to the dogs.”She replied,“ That’s true, Lord, but even dogs are allowed to eat the scraps that fall beneath their masters’ table.”“ Dear woman,” Jesus said to her,“ your faith is great. Your request is granted.” And her daughter was instantly healed.

John 1:43-47
The next day Jesus decided to go to Galilee. He found Philip and said to him,“ Come, follow me.”Philip was from Bethsaida, Andrew and Peter’s hometown.Philip went to look for Nathanael and told him,“ We have found the very person Moses and the prophets wrote about! His name is Jesus, the son of Joseph from Nazareth.”“ Nazareth!” exclaimed Nathanael.“ Can anything good come from Nazareth?”“ Come and see for yourself,” Philip replied.As they approached, Jesus said,“ Now here is a genuine son of Israel— a man of complete integrity.”

Matthew 8:9-12
I know this because I am under the authority of my superior officers, and I have authority over my soldiers. I only need to say,‘ Go,’ and they go, or‘ Come,’ and they come. And if I say to my slaves,‘ Do this,’ they do it.”When Jesus heard this, he was amazed. Turning to those who were following him, he said,“ I tell you the truth, I haven’t seen faith like this in all Israel!And I tell you this, that many Gentiles will come from all over the world— from east and west— and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob at the feast in the Kingdom of Heaven.But many Israelites— those for whom the Kingdom was prepared— will be thrown into outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

Matthew 11:21
“ What sorrow awaits you, Korazin and Bethsaida! For if the miracles I did in you had been done in wicked Tyre and Sidon, their people would have repented of their sins long ago, clothing themselves in burlap and throwing ashes on their heads to show their remorse.

As Jesus walked by, John looked at him and declared,“ Look! There is the Lamb of God!”When John’s two disciples heard this, they followed Jesus.Jesus looked around and saw them following.“ What do you want?” he asked them. They replied,“ Rabbi”( which means“ Teacher”),“ where are you staying?”“ Come and see,” he said. It was about four o’clock in the afternoon when they went with him to the place where he was staying, and they remained with him the rest of the day.

Luke 19:2-4
There was a man there named Zacchaeus. He was the chief tax collector in the region, and he had become very rich.He tried to get a look at Jesus, but he was too short to see over the crowd.So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore fig tree beside the road, for Jesus was going to pass that way.

Romans 15:8-12
Remember that Christ came as a servant to the Jews to show that God is true to the promises he made to their ancestors.He also came so that the Gentiles might give glory to God for his mercies to them. That is what the psalmist meant when he wrote:“ For this, I will praise you among the Gentiles; I will sing praises to your name.”And in another place it is written,“ Rejoice with his people, you Gentiles.”And yet again,“ Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles. Praise him, all you people of the earth.”And in another place Isaiah said,“ The heir to David’s throne will come, and he will rule over the Gentiles. They will place their hope on him.”
