Who said unto his father and to his mother, I have not seen him; neither did he acknowledge his brethren, nor knew his own children: for they have observed thy word, and kept thy covenant.
And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that[ appertained] unto Korah, and all[ their] goods.They, and all that[ appertained] to them, went down alive into the pit, and the earth closed upon them: and they perished from among the congregation.And all Israel that[ were] round about them fled at the cry of them: for they said, Lest the earth swallow us up[ also].And there came out a fire from the LORD, and consumed the two hundred and fifty men that offered incense.
And ye shall know that I have sent this commandment unto you, that my covenant might be with Levi, saith the LORD of hosts.My covenant was with him of life and peace; and I gave them to him[ for] the fear wherewith he feared me, and was afraid before my name.The law of truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips: he walked with me in peace and equity, and did turn many away from iniquity.
But on the morrow all the congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron, saying, Ye have killed the people of the LORD.
For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard[ him];
